Arranging a Funeral

We know that arranging a funeral comes at one

of life’s most difficult moments. You may be

grieving, feeling overwhelmed, or simply unsure

of what comes next. Please know that you don’t

have to walk this path alone.

Whether or not you or the person who has died

were regular church attenders, we can arrange

for Cath or one of our other ministers to take the

service in one our churches or at a crematorium.

You may also wish to enquire about having your

loved one laid to rest in one of our two

churchyards. You can request this by speaking to

your funeral director or by contacting us directly

via the Church Office.

We would be honoured to help you create a

meaningful service to remember your loved

one’s life and where family and friends can

gather to find comfort together. Cath or a

minister will meet with you, talk you through the

planning of the funeral service and answer any

questions or concerns you may have.

Bereavement Support

Grief does not end when the service is over,

and neither does our care for you.

Our church community is here to offer ongoing

support in the days, weeks, and months

following your loss. Whether you need

someone to talk with, a quiet space for

reflection, prayerful companionship, or

guidance toward further support, we are ready

to walk alongside you.

Cath and those on our Pastoral and

Bereavement Teams can offer a listening ear,

signpost you to local bereavement resources,

and let you know about our next Bereavement

Café. We also hold special memorial services

during the year which we can let you know

about. You are always welcome to come to sit

in the peacefulness of our churches or to

attend one of our services.

Everyone grieves differently, and there is no

right timeline. Please know that you are held in

compassion and care — not just today, but for

as long as you need
