Is Spring Just Around the Corner?
Lifespace - A Charity Helping Young People Cope With Life Pressures & Challenges

From the Rectory - Dear Friends, Well, the name of the month is March and the name of the season is Spring. March & Spring – sounds good, doesn’t it! There is a real sense of moving forward. If the thought of marching and springing forward is too much for you then maybe a gentler step of two forward will be more manageable. Since the beginning of the year we have welcomed new faces at our church Services…people who have taken steps forward and joined in. Have you been thinking about coming along? There are some special Services in March you might like to attend. Sunday 1st March is the first Sunday of Lent and in our Services we will be focusing on the Charity we will be supporting this year. We have chosen a local Charity called Lifespace that helps young people in our area to deal with the pressures and challenges of life. Come along and find out more. Sunday 22nd March is Mothering Sunday and our 10 am Service will be an enjoyable Family Service. Whether you have children with you or not, come and join in with a Service that should be both fun and meaningful. Sunday 29th March is called Passion Sunday as we remember Jesus’ passion and suffering for our sake. On this occasion we will be offering the opportunity for you to come forward for anointing and laying on of hands as we pray for Healing and Wholeness. If you want to know more, please contact me. Finally, let’s look ahead to July when we will be celebrating the 850th anniversary of St. Nicholas’. As part of the celebrations we would like to invite those of you who were married at St. Nicholas’ to gather for a renewal of vows celebration. If this interests you then please contact me as soon as you can so that we can have an idea of how many might be interested. Whether you feel like marching, springing or just tiptoeing forward, I hope and pray that God will bless you with the motivation and energy to do whatever will lift your spirits. The strap-line at the top of this page says: ‘Henley in Arden Parish Church – celebrating life in the heart of Henley’. We look forward to doing exactly that together with you.
